It’s so hard to stay motivated, and even more so during the self-quarantine.
There are days when you are free, and you know it’s time to work on things that will only do you right — it could be picking up a new hobby, working out, or starting your side hustle.
You know you SHOULD be doing those. There are no excuses because you have the capacity. Funny enough, instead of grabbing your book or dumbbell, you ended up lying on the couch binge-watching Netflix or gaming all day.
It’s all due to one reason: Unmotivated.
I see myself a strong-minded person, and I won’t let laziness gets the best of me. At the past, whenever I feel lazy, I’ll watch a few motivational videos to remind myself to work hard.
Yup. That worked for a bit. I had an adrenaline rush after watching those. That reminds me that successful people made it because they are persistent, and I must do the same.
And you might have guessed what happened: I went burnt out after a few months, and I did nothing productive for a few weeks after that. That helps me realized that motivational videos are only short term fixes. It can’t help you stay motivated for long.
